Your Excellency,

Fmr Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode,
Dear sir,

I am writing this letter to you on behalf of all Lagosians, who are facing untoward hardship following the ban on Okada and keke operators.
Sir, we thought Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu would be a Messiah to us in Lagos State.
We failed woefully in our calculations of your actions in Lagos. You meant well for us, but we didn’t know it.
Politicians told us you’re bad, and we gullibly followed them. They sold the dummy to us and we bought it without checking very well.
We didn’t know it was because of their selfish interest. We didn’t know it was because you didn’t open the treasury of Lagos for them.

We all voted against you in the APC primaries because the power brokers told us you’re bad.
It is now that we know the difference between a ruler and a leader.
You warned us about our new ruler then. It seems everything you said about him then is correct.
When you came, you didn’t enforce the Okada ban as promoted by Babatunde Raji Fashola. That showed you knew what the poor masses are going through.

We made a grave error by rejecting you, but there is nothing we can do. The powerful ones have spoken.
On behalf of millions of Lagosians, who have been trekking since the ban on Okada and tricycle operators, on behalf of those who have been rendered jobless, we beg you to forgive us for believing the lies against you.
We hope to you can come back again and save us from this current ruler of ours.
Please find a space in your heart to forgive us. We love you.
Yours sincerely,
Olu Adegoke,
Balogun Street, Ikeja, Lagos.
Please share this open letter until it gets to Ambode.
