While expressing profound gratitude to her husband, constituents, and Nigerians for the immense show of support, the lawmaker also lauded the electoral body.

Reacting via her official Facebook page shortly after INEC made the report public, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said it was “One battle down, two more to go.”

Her words:

After the Kogi State Police Command and the Kogi State Government banned political rallies, convoys, and unregulated public gatherings in the state, the Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Amoka Monday, declared a curfew across the council area, citing security concerns.

The move, it was gathered, was in a bit to halt the Senator’s homecoming to campaign against her recall.

She would later take everyone by surprise by storming her local government with a helicopter, a move that got everyone talking on the Internet.

During the homecoming, the suspended lawmaker accused the former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, of conniving with Senate President Godswill Akpabio of allegedly plotting to kill her.

The Kogi State had since accused Natasha of inciting violence in the state by her remarks.
