Waheed Ayilara, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State is dead after undergoing surgery in a Lagos hospital.
JomogNews Nigeria gathered that Ayilara had prostate cancer surgery just hours before and reportedly died on Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
“We are very sad to inform you that our friend, brother and family member, the Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, is dead,” a family member said.
