Afrobeats star Davido has consoled his colleague and brother, Wizkid over the demise of his mother. Wizkid’s mom, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, died in the early hours of Friday around 1.30 am at 64.
The deceased, who was also the mother to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun, stood as an unswerving pillar of strength in her Afrobeats stalwart son’s flourishing career.
Reaching out to Wiz’s in his moment of grief, Davido offered his sincerest condolences, praying he overcomes sadness as a result of the Balogun matriarch’s loss.
He tweeted: “Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time.”
