Gunmen have abducted a lecturer in the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Cross River State, UNICROSS, Dr. Iniudo George-Ukpong.
This came barely twenty-four hours after Governor Bassey Otu gave criminals an ultimatum to either repent and take advantage of his amnesty or be fished out.
The kidnappers also took another staff member of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH, Barbara Brownson.
Also yesterday, Friday, they abducted one Mike Njagu in Calabar.
According to family sources, Iniudo, who is an Associate Professor of environmental and public health parasitology, was abducted on his way home from the office.
The Police PRO in the state, Irene Ugbo said she would speak later.
