Fintiri assured the people of the state that nobody would be left behind.

On his official Twitter handle, the governor said his re-election was a victory for the people of Adamawa State.

According to Fintiri: “Alhamdulillah, victory to the people of Adamawa state! I still remain a governor for all. No one will be left behind and nothing will be left untouched. @OfficialPDPNig.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, announced Fintiri as the winner of the controversial governorship election.

INEC’s Collation Officer of the State, Mele Lamido declared Fintiri the winner after he defeated Aishatu Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Aishatu, popularly known as Binani was earlier illegally announced the winner by the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Hudu Yunusa Ari.
