According to DAILY POST, Israel got himself into trouble after he reported his collaborators to the Police for receiving N1 million from his father but lying to him that the father paid N500,000.

The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed that it had arrested Israel who confessed to the self-kidnapping drama to get his father to cough out money for him and his allies.

The other two accomplices, Fartaci Kucol and Zakka Nuh, both from Mubi North LGA in northern Adamawa, who were also picked up, have similarly confessed to the crime.

They said Isreal was kept for six days in a faraway village in Muvur within the Mubi North LGA and later Mubi metropolis where Israel spent another two days before the payment of ransom.

A third accomplice, Abdullhamid Mohammed, is still on the run.

Facts on the report have it that, after collecting N1 million as ransom, Zakka and Fartaci declared only N500, 000 as the only ransom amount paid by Israel’s father.

After collecting his share of the declared N500,00; Israel returned home and told his family that he was released unharmed.

On getting to know, however, that N1 million was paid for his ‘freedom’, he could not contain the ‘betrayal’ from his accomplices.

He lodged a complaint with the Marraba Mubi Police Division which swung into action, investigated the matter, and got the perpetrators arrested.
