Jemila Ali, wife of Kazeem Ali, a chieftain of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers, who was kidnapped in Apomu, Osun State, has said her husband’s abductors are no longer reaching out to his family and the phone number used to contact the family could no longer be reached.
Ali was attacked with machete by some hoodlums around Oke Alfa, Apomu, last Saturday, and was taken to an undisclosed location.
Though a source close to the family of the NURTW boss said his abductors were demanding a N15m ransom for his release, Jemila who spoke to newsmen in an interview said;
“The number used to contact us was no longer connecting.
“They are not talking to us and we are unable to also talk to him (Ali).”
