A coalition of 28 groups has claimed to be responsible for the purchased the N100 million All Progressives Congress presidential forms for the former minister of Agriculture.

The coalition claiming to have paid for the form, according to Channels Television, includes groups such as Youth Arise Movement, Nigerians in Diaspora, One Nigeria Group, Prudent Youth Association of Nigeria, women groups, farmers, and other civil society groups.

They issued a receipt for the payment for the forms which cost N100m, on Saturday evening.

Dr Adesina himself has not publicly declared his intention to run for President.

On Friday, some supporters were said to have picked up APC presidential forms for Godwin Emefiele, the sitting Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

However, the CBN boss turned down the offer, saying he has not decided to run for President.

Many Nigerians believe that politicians, mostly those aspiring to be President on the platform of the ruling APC, are hiding under the wings of groups and coalitions to purchase the party’s exorbitant forms. There is a strong belief among the people that these politicians pay the forms themselves.
