The billionaire business man made this promise during his class reunion party, 30 years after they went their separate ways. Many of his secondary school friends and their family were in attendance as they all have fun in Abuja.

It was reported by Tunde Ednut that Obi Cubana took care of transportation, hotel and feeding of everyone that came for the reunion.

While delivering his speech, Obi Cubana said life is not just about taking pictures on instagram and making people feel like you have made it in life. He said some of their old classmates are going through some challenges in life. Hence, he proposed that those who are financially capable among them should assist this set of people.

He urged his colleagues who are financially capable to set-up a trust fund to assist their old classmates who are not well to do. He added that giving comes from the heart and one doesn’t have to be very rich before giving to those in dire need.

Obi Cubana said there are quite a number of successful people in their set. He counted no fewer than three professors, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and other successful people in the gathering and he charged them to render financial assistance to their old classmates who are struggling.

From his own pocket, Obi Cubana donated N40,000,000 to support the project. He said that the N40m will be disbursed to 20 of his old classmates; two million naira to each of them. He also enjoined people to not get intimidated by his donation because the goal is to help their old classmates who are in need.

“I will support this noble cause by picking up twenty people. When you identify these 20 people from the poor amongst us, I will give them N2 million each which is N40m. Don’t be intimidated by anything, we are not giving because we have but because God has enabled us to do so. If you have N10 put it there, if you can do more than me, be encouraged to do so.”

“

“… whether you have or not, you can collect from A and give to B just to make life better for all of us. God has destined this world that everybody can never be rich, it is not possible but we can make everybody comfortable. God will now decide whom he wants to make rich” –he said.
