The members of Lions Clubs International in Region 2, District 404A1 Nigeria held a fun packed event to celebrate the Family Ties organized by the Region at the Estaport International School garden, Gbagada, Lagos on Saturday 26 February 2022.
The event, which was well attended by Lions members with their families and friends featured dancing competition and games for both children and adults with a lot to drink and eat. There was also a health corner for a free BP test for everyone.

In his welcome address, the Region Chairperson Lion Moruf Jebe said Lions clubs around the world are known to serve the less priveledged in their various communities, therefore the family ties event is an opportunity for all Lions members and their families to come together, relax, interact and enjoy themselves.

He thanked the region coordinator for the program, all clubs presidents and the entire Lions members in the region for their support and cooperation, morally and financially to make the event a reality in this Lions year.
The First Vice District Governor Lion Anogwi Anyanwu who is a member of the region and also represented the District Governor Lion Fortune Wagbatsoma in his remarkst said he was so excited to be part of the celebration which has not happened in the region for so many years.

He congratulates the Lions family of Region 2 and commended the Region chairperson for bringing back the event to the region and advised that those coming after him should sustein the family ties project as a way of uniting the Lions family in the region.
In her vote of thanks, the region coordinator for the event Lion Joyce Uvieghara said she was so overwhelmed with the turnout and success of the event.
She expressed her appreciation to the Region chairperson for his leadership role and support.

She also thanked all the clubs presidents, her committee members and individual Lions who supported the program with cash and kind to make the family ties a great success and wishes for continuity of the program in subsequent years.
Lions members from other regions in the district were also in attendance to celebrate the family ties event.
