Atiku Abubakar has released a statement ahead of PDP Convention.
As PDP Convention is about to get underway at the Eagle square in Abuja, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has released a statement after meeting with some PDP bigwigs.
JomogNews Nigeria reports that Atiku took to his Twitter handle to reveal the resolve of the party to rescue Nigeria from its present position.
Former VP Atiku Abubakar’s Twitter message reads;
‘Our Wrap up meeting ahead of today’s @OfficialPDPNig historic convention affirms that we stand united in our quest to collectively rescue Nigeria for the good of its people.
JomogNews Nigeria reports that the convention which is scheduled for today and tomorrow is a crucial part of the party’s preparation for the 2023 elections in the country.
National party officials, governors, ex-governors, and other bigwigs of the party are currently at Eagle’s Square in preparation.
According to sources, most of the positions up for grabs will be filled via consensus.
However, some three positions are still under contestation.
Chairman of the organising committee of the convention, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri had earlier on Friday said efforts are on to reconcile most of the contestants.
