The killers of Pa Defwan Dariye, father of former Plateau State Governor, Joshua Dariye have been arrested by the Nigeria Police.
The 93-year-old man was killed after his abductors collected N10million ransom from his family.
Jethro Nguyen, 53, leader of the gang, an indigene of Bokos, explained that he hired 10 others, among them are some Fulani herders to abduct the elderly man from his palace.
He said he was kept at their hideout for about 10 days before he was killed.
The gang leader was paraded at the Force headquarters in Abuja, on Wednesday and confessed that he gave a gang member the order to shoot the old man.
On why they abducted the old man, he explained, “We abducted the deceased because he was a good target to make money as his son was a one-time governor of Plateau State and Senator of the Federal Republic.”
