According to POLITICS NIGERIA, she was invited by the Police over a petition filed by Senator Grace Bent.

Findings reveal that Miss Chikwendu had accused Senator Bent of threatening her life.

In a lengthy statement on her facebook page on July 30th, she claimed that Sen. Bent threatened her life and promised to use security agents against her.

Bent filed a petition prompting the Police to invite Chikwendu. The ex-beauty queen shared the letter of invitation from the police on her Instagram page and accused both FFK and Bent of oppressing her with “power”.

She wrote on Instagram; “So these two, think they would use the police that is meant for all of us to intimidate me ? Jokers. Mr Fani-Kayode and Grace Bent , you would tell me what these show of power is all about if not for my kids . If you had any shame you would sit with my lawyers and straighten issues. It’s a shame we got to this bridge.”

According to the police invitation letter, the former beauty queen is being investigated in a case of criminal intimidation, blackmail, defamation of character and malicious publication.

It can be recalled that the Chikwendu is also embroiled in a bitter child custody battle with her ex-husband.

As at the time of filing this report, she is still being detained by the Police. Senator Bent is expected to issue a statement on the matter on Thursday.
