The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 521 fresh cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The development brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 152,074.
The public health agency made the announcement on Sunday night while giving its daily report on its official website.
According to the new figure, about seven patients died in the last 24 hours as total fatality jumped to 1,839.
NCDC also confirmed the recovery of 271 patients in Lagos and Kwara states.
