Nnamdi Chukwuocha, a Nigerian American has been elected into the Delaware house of representatives in the 2020 US Election.
Jomog News Nigeria reports that, Nnamdi Chukwuocha, a Nigerian-American has been elected into the Delaware house of representatives, a state legislature in the US.
This has brought to three Nigerians that have been elected in the ongoing general elections, the two others are, Oye Owolewa and Esther Agbaje.
And the figure may increase as vote counts continue in many states.
A member of the Democratic Party, Chukwuocha, won a seat to represent district 1 of Delaware in the ongoing US general election.
He was first elected to the Delaware house of representatives in 2018 after defeating incumbent Charles Potter Jr. at the Democratic Party primary.
Presently, Chukwuocha is the current poet laureate of Delaware along with his twin brother, Al Mills.
Jomog News Nigeria gathered that there are at least nine Americans with Nigerian descent contesting the election.
