Just In: Popular Yoruba Actor Sisi Quadri Is Dead
A Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, who is more popularly known as Sisi Quadri, has died. Sisi Quadri passed on at the age of 44.
He celebrated his 44th birthday on December 25, 2023.
Oyebamiji’s death was announced by some of his colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry on Friday.
This is coming hours after Anikulapo ( Rise of the spectre ) debuted on Netflix, a series where he featured.
Writing on her verified Instagram handle, actress Abiola Bayo said: “You will be greatly missed, Sisi Quadri. May your soul rest in perfect peace”.
Another actor, Tunde Yusuf who posted his (Sisi Quadri)’s picture said, “Everything in the world is according to the will of Allah, from Allah we have come and unto Him, we shall return. May God bless, rest your soul, bro”.
Regina Chukwu also commiserated with the late Oyebamiji while sharing the story of how he was fighting for his life some days back, adding, “Most people don’t know but yes, I trained under him as a make-up artist on set for years.
He is well known for his role in the movie “Seniyan Seranko,” which was released on December 4, 2004.
Sisi Quadri was renowned for his exceptional comedic talent and his ability to deliver cutting insults with finesse.
This trait endeared him to many movie watchers around the country.
A close relative who confirmed the news said, “the current information at my disposal is that he was admitted in a private hospital in Iwo 5 days ago after battling with hiccups for hours….”

TikTok Star Peller Escapes Unhurt After Fire Guts Generator At Lagos Mansion
Nigerian TikTok star and livestreamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller has narrowly escaped a fire incident at his new Lagos home in the early hours of Saturday.
The incident centered on his generator, which caught fire and was completely engulfed in flames.
Peller shared footage of the blaze on his Instagram page, appearing visibly shaken and calling for help as the fire raged.
The blaze, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, was eventually extinguished with buckets of water. While the generator was completely destroyed, the house and its occupants were unharmed.
In the footage, Peller appears visibly shaken as he calls for assistance to put out the flames.
He captioned the post, “This happen early this morning, my new generator almost burn down my new house, but God saved us, it take us over 30 minutes to off the fire, All I can say is God saved us”.
Fans and followers expressed relief in the comment section, attributing quick intervention for the fortunate outcome.
The incident followed a previous scare involving Peller on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, where he crashed his vehicle during a livestream.

In recent a interview, music icon 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) has addressed the widely reported 2025 London altercation with his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
